Wind: Gusty Trades

Wind is up and the waves are up!

Today the Oahu Foil Downwind Race scheduled for today was cancelled. 

Conditions were not safe!

Kaimana was wicked!

Whipping winds!

At China Walls the entry was crazy!

Better to be safe and ride another day.

Mahalo to Oahu Foil for organizing the race and making the call.

Downwinding 09-26-2026

Wind: Strong Trades

Hurricane Nolo sending all kine energy!!!

Strong winds and big waves!!!

Strong energy on the beach too!

Paddling out wasn't easy, we had to navigate a few powerful spots to get to the wind line.

At the wind line, big ground swell and plenty of bumps!

The run was good, so much speed!

Getting in was tricky, trying to catch the right wave was key.

We all made it in safely!

Come on down tomorrow!

Waves still big and stormy outside, we just ride the inside.

My thoughts go out to Kauai for getting hit hard from Hurricane Lowell.

We got sunshine!

I think Oahu got lucky last night with not much damage, from what I heard.

Still praying Kauai got lucky too!

Wind: Strong Trades

Hurricane Lowell is approaching and bringing strong winds and rain to Oahu.

Prayers go out to Kauai as they may get hit tonight.

Storm ridahs going for a run before the storm!

Plenty wind and good bumps

The Kapiolani Park area got beat up! Plenty of downed trees and branches!!!

I don't envy the park workers.

Hurricane Lala 08-16-2026

Catching up on events since we lost power from Saturday night.

We had no electricity and no cell service at home from 8-15-2026 thru 8-18-2026.

This is the Niu Valley 7-11. Dark and not open but people were pulling up to check.

Niu Valley canals were flowing!

Plenty of down branches and trees in Niu Valley and at Kawaikui park.

Big wind bumps and East swell passing by.
